Changelog

This page lists notable changes to Taskforce.sh: the hosted dashboard, the Taskforce connector and the on-premises edition. The newest changes are at the top.

The hosted dashboard is updated continuously, so dashboard changes are listed by the month they shipped. Connector changes name the release they shipped in; update the connector to get them.

Changes are grouped as:

  • New: features that weren't there before.
  • Improved: changes to existing features.
  • Fixed: bugs that were fixed.
  • Security: security updates. We fix dependencies with known vulnerabilities promptly, within the timeframes set by our vulnerability management policy, and check every change with automated vulnerability scanning.

October 2026

New

  • Queue rate limit status. Queues that are currently rate limited are marked in the queue list and on the queue page, with how long until the limit expires, so you can tell a throttled queue apart from a stuck one. Requires connector 1.40.0 or later for connector-based connections.

Improved

Fixed

  • Images missing from some documentation pages.
  • Public pages briefly showed a "loading" message before their content.

Security

  • Patched vulnerable dependencies in the dashboard, backend and connector (including Vite, uuid, http-cache-semantics and Handlebars).
  • Dependency and security updates are now automated across all Taskforce.sh repositories, so fixes for newly published vulnerabilities are applied sooner.

Connector 1.40.0: reports the rate limit status of queues to the dashboard.

September 2026

Fixed

  • EU customers could not save billing details or add a card while the EU VAT validation service (VIES) was temporarily unavailable, and saw a misleading "Invalid VAT number" message. A temporary outage no longer blocks billing; only a VAT number that VIES rejects does.
  • Team pages now list every member of a team.
  • Monitors no longer schedule a new check while a previous check for the same connection is still waiting to run.

Security

  • Upgraded the dashboard to Angular 20 to resolve security advisories.
  • Patched vulnerable dependencies (browserslist, pacote, fast-uri and qs).

Connector 1.39.1: the connector Docker image is now published for both amd64 and arm64, so it runs on ARM hosts such as AWS Graviton and ARM64 Fargate tasks.

August 2026

New

  • BullMQ v6 support. Connections can now use BullMQ v6 queues, including BullMQ v6 queues stored in PostgreSQL instead of Redis. To connect PostgreSQL-backed queues, run connector 1.39.0 or later with the --pg-* options.

Improved

Connector 1.39.0: adds BullMQ v6 and PostgreSQL support.

July 2026

New

  • AI agents (MCP). You can now give AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code Copilot controlled access to your queues through the Taskforce.sh MCP server. Each agent gets its own tokens and permissions, and every action it takes is recorded in an audit log. See AI Agents.

Security

  • Patched a vulnerable dependency (tar) in the backend.

Connector 1.38.0: queue auto-discovery also finds queues through the metadata keys that BullMQ writes.

June 2026

Fixed

  • Pagination of the subscriptions list.

Security

  • On-premises: upgraded the process manager (PM2) used by the configuration app to resolve a vulnerability.
  • Patched vulnerable dependencies in the dashboard, backend and connector.

May 2026

Improved

  • Upgraded the BullMQ and BullMQ Pro libraries used by the dashboard.

Fixed

  • Browser autofill in the billing details form wasn't picked up, which could leave the form unable to save.

April 2026

New

  • Flows view. A new Flows tab shows BullMQ flows as an interactive parent/child tree, so you can follow a flow's progress and see which child failed or what a parent is still waiting for.
  • Redesigned metrics page with interactive charts. See Metrics.
  • Dark mode across the dashboard, including the alerts table.
  • A new landing page on taskforce.sh.

Improved

  • On-premises: the configuration app now saves error messages, which makes failed setups easier to diagnose.

Fixed

  • On-premises: the process manager now starts reliably when the instance boots.

March 2026

New

  • On-premises: SSL connections to PostgreSQL.
  • On-premises: new AWS AMI images are built and published automatically.

Improved

  • Active jobs are shown in the queue summary.
  • When empty statuses are hidden and the status you are viewing becomes empty, the jobs view moves to the next status that still has jobs.
  • Clearer error messages when listing npm tokens fails.

Fixed

  • The npm token instructions referred to yarnrc.yml instead of .yarnrc.yml.

January and February 2026

Fixed

  • The email sent when you invite someone to a team.
  • On-premises: building and publishing the Docker images.

December 2025

Connector 1.37.0: the connector can be embedded in your own Node.js application and reuse an existing IORedis connection, including Redis Cluster.

Connector 1.36.1 and 1.36.2: patched vulnerable dependencies (including glob).

November 2025

New

  • Custom roles. Organization owners can create roles with exactly the permissions they need and assign them to members. See Custom roles.
  • Change your email address from account settings.
  • Delete your account from account settings.
  • Retry a failed invoice payment from the billing page.

Fixed

  • Some dashboard controls didn't consistently reflect a member's role.

Security

  • Patched vulnerable dependencies (including Vite and tar).

October 2025

New

  • Retry completed jobs, one at a time or all at once, on connections that support it.

Security

  • Patched vulnerable dependencies in the dashboard, backend and connector (including pino/fast-redact, validator, tar-fs and brace-expansion).

Built by the creators of BullMQ.
